Bequeath a gift to Oxfam Sweden
Bequeath a gift to Oxfam Sweden
Leaving a gift in your will to Oxfam is a powerful way to show solidarity with future generations in the fight against poverty and injustice.
Including Oxfam in your will is easy and can be done through a wording. However, there are certain formal requirements that apply for the will to be legally valid.
Through our partnership with Giva Sweden and Lavendla Juridik, you can get support with affordable advice and help with drawing up a will. For further information, please email us at nicholas.clarkson@oxfam.se or call 0730-93 88 22.
Some things to consider when bequeathing a gift:
- The will must be in writing and signed by you and two witnesses who are both of sound mind.
- You must not be related to the witnesses. They must also not be included in the will. However, your witnesses do not need to see the contents of the will.
- You can leave money, securities, property, real estate or a certain percentage of your total assets. Bequeath what feels right to you. You can change your mind at any time and make a new will, or a so-called supplementary will.
- If you want to bequeath a gift to Oxfam Sweden, please write that the gift is to "Insamlingsstiftelsen Oxfam Sverige" which is our full official name. Also include our organization number: 802477-9269.
Thank you for your support! It will make a difference for people affected by poverty and injustice.
