Make the richest climate saboteurs pay
It's simple, introduce a new wealth tax where the biggest and richest emittersare specifically taxed to build a fair and sustainable future.
To the Government of Sweden:
People everywhere are affected by the climate crisis. At the same time as Swedish emissions are increasing and the worst climate saboteurs are getting richer. It is only fair that the rich individuals, countries and companies that caused the climate crisis take responsibility and pay their climate debt.
We therefore call on the Swedish government to pay its climate debt. To finance this, the government should introduce a new wealth tax where the wealth of the largest and richest emitters is specifically taxed. Those with the largest debt should also pay. Sweden's payment should be used to support the vulnerable communities most affected by droughts, floods, storms and other climate impacts - so that together we can build a more just and sustainable future.

The climate crisis affects us all and is destroying the lives of millions of people around the world. Every day the consequences are becoming more and more evident, but the burden is far from evenly distributed.
People in the world's most vulnerable and poorest countries are hit hardest, even though they bear the least responsibility for climate change. The consequences hit women hard and young people see their future taken away from them. Meanwhile, the world's richest people and companies continue to destroy the planet with their high emissions.
It does not have to be this way. A more equal and sustainable world is possible. A world where everyone has what they need to survive the climate crisis.
It's only right that the biggest climate saboteurs reaping record profits also take responsibility and pay for the climate crisis they are causing. We can put pressure on the EU and Sweden to pay their climate debt to countries with widespread poverty by making the richest climate saboteurs pay.
