Can Sweden afford the rich?

Film screening & panel discussion on October 4 at the Grand in Stockholm.

Fredrik Gertten & Oxfam Sweden present

Can Sweden afford the rich?

Abysmal social divisions, a rigged system, the rich easily doubling their wealth - has the dominant economic system reached the end of the road?
In his new film Breaking Social, Fredrik Gertten asks whether we can afford the rich. The film reveals how the super-rich with power over political and economic life maximize their wealth at the expense of the climate and the lives of ordinary people. But Gertten also shows the people who have had enough and are fighting for a fairer world.

Even in Sweden, once the most equal country in the world, inequality is increasing. According to Oxfam, five Swedes own more than five million Swedes combined. Companies and wealthy individuals are increasing their assets while queues at food banks are growing and our forests are being exploited.
