Lidl improves its work on human rights

Oxfam's advocacy for fair conditions in the food industry is getting results.

Oxfam has shown in several reports how the people who grow and produce our food often work in terrible conditions and earn far below living wages. In 2018, Oxfam launched a campaign to hold large food companies accountable for ending suffering in their supply chains.

As part of the campaign, nearly 40,000 people have taken a stand by signing a petition against the suffering behind our food, and Lidl has now responded by adopting a policy to protect both workers' rights and the climate.
