On tour with Coldplay

June 27, 2016

British rock band Coldplay and Oxfam have a long history together. For over a decade, Coldplay has been committed to the fight against poverty. As global ambassadors, the band has used its influence and strong voice to highlight important issues. Together we have campaigned in over 50 countries, which is amazing!

This year, Coldplay once again joined Oxfam on the "A Head Full of Dreams" world tour that began in South America earlier this spring. On Sunday, July 3rd, Coldplay will play at Friends Arena in Stockholm. Oxfam will be present outside the arena to inform about our work for refugees and to encourage Swedish Coldplay fans to get involved by signing our petition.

Stand as One with people on the move
Through the global Stand as One campaign, we are calling on Coldplay fans from around the world to stand as one with people on the move. Anyone can get involved by signing the petition and becoming part of our human chain. By doing so, we show politicians and policymakers that we will not stand by and watch people suffer. Together, we can put pressure on world leaders to take joint responsibility for the world's refugees and migrants. Together we will be a strong voice that can demand accountability!

65 million lives
More than 65 million people are currently displaced around the world. These are people who have been forced to leave their homes, their security and everything they own behind in the hope of a life in safety. There are many reasons why people flee: war, poverty and natural disasters are just a few examples. To find a long-term solution to the global refugee crisis, we need to address the issues that force people to flee. We must also ensure that those who flee are received with dignity, no matter where they are in the world. All people deserve to live in safety.
